The journey of our lives moves us through ages and stages .The Hindu faith builds that idea into their spiritual understanding, defining a major task for each stage. Is there guidance in that idea for Unitarian Universalists?

"Zipper Merging" Feb. 15th, 2015

Rev. James Kubel-Komoto

Unitarian Universalists seek inspiration and wisdom from many sources, even traffic engineering studies. In this morning's sermon, Reverend James explores how he learned to get along better with family, friends, and strangers as a result of reading such a study.

"Rev. Dr. James Kubal-Komoto is in his 15th year of ministry at Saltwater Church in Des Moines, where he lives with his wife and son in Federal Way.   Always well received as a speaker, here is what one person said about Rev. James' sermons: "I love James' sermons! Witty, always grounded in deep understanding of Unitarian Universalism, reminds me of the connections between us as we struggle in our imperfection through the joys and trials of life;, he usually makes me laugh, but often touches my heart deeply by his lack of fear to be authentic."  When not preaching he is known as a strong advocate for adequate funding for human services at the local, county, and state level.  He lives with his wife and son in Federal Way.

We have transformation, for the community and the people offering their time and talents. Today let's consider the deeper meanings of our service.
