Rev. Peg Morgan
August 4, 2013
This past nine months our congregation’s
spiritual study group has been attending, via DVDs, a retreat with Pema
Chodron, Buddhist teacher/nun of Gampo Abbey in Nova Scotia. Today Rev. Peg
will share some of the teachings that our group has found most helpful in
deepening our spiritual lives, both in our relationship with ourselves, and our
relationship with others. Today’s sermon will be one of a series of
sermons based upon this Buddhist retreat and will focus on the spiritual
practice of nurturing our natural goodness, starting where we are, and
observing what is happening when our hearts close down.
