"Living the Dream: The Life and Passions of Ida Wells" -January 18, 2015

Our faith draws wisdom from many sources, not just one holy book or one prophet. We each have a spark of divinity in us that glows bright with our good works and justice fulfilling attitudes, words and actions. Today we will be inspired by the life and passions of one woman Ida B. Wells,(1862-1931) an African American woman, mother, teacher, journalist.and a fighter against the racist practice of lynching.

Suicide is complex and is now, more often, honestly named as the cause of death. This allows us to talk about it, and about how loved ones are left with complicated grieving. Death is hard enough, without having to cope with the dynamics of suicide. So what sense can we make of it all, and how do we support each other?
